In most of our previous posts, and recounting from thousands and thousands of research, food is seen as a major problem in the development of diabetes and other chronic diseases. We have seen the negative impacts on chinese, koreans, and americans that have resulted from a shift in their diets from a more traditional one. Today, in Africa, cases of diabetes and chronic diseases are increasing and figures are skyrocketing with predictions reaching 33 and 55 million cases by the years 2030 and 2045 rfespectively, and this is strongly linked to diet and general change in lifestyle.
With all these, the food industry has been undoubtedly incriminated, and all fingers are pointing to the food we eat as the major problem. The question is, is this the right criminal? To answer this question, the DREAM Program finds it important that we ask and honestly answer the follow-up questions;
As each finger points to the food industry, how many of the remaining fingers of each individual point back at ourselves?
Who is the brain behind the food industry; humans or the food?
Who goes for the food; we go to the food or the food comes to us on it own?
Our interpretation and logic is simple. In as much as; at least 3 out of 5 fingers point at us, and just one finger pointing at the food; the brain behind the food industry is man; man goes in such of these foods to consume, DREAM Program holds humans as the main problem to diabetes and chronic diseases.

No matter what level of professionalism and expertise we have, if we diagnose a problem wrongly, we will never find the right solution. What we have done so far and what we continue to do is to present some foods as potential dangers to our health if consumed. If we never consume these foods, there is no danger to us. Therefore, to start taking the right measures to heal and reverse diabetes, our mindset about food has to change through an understanding of the above logic.
Since some of these foods are potential dangers to our health, let's take out some time to briefly look at how God's purpose in our lives, the typse of diet He prescribed for us, and this will undoubtedly reveal while we are suffering from these diseases today than those who lived years back.
And God bless man, and said, be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth (Genesis 1: 28).
Like a manifacturer, here in the above verses, God tells us some of those things that He wanted us to achieve. He does not only want to see us grow both physically and spiritually, He wants us to conquer the whole world. But we need a good source of fuel and strength to achieve this. Like a mchine, if we get the wrong fuel/energy we simply break down. Imagine using diesel in a machine that uses petrol. The energy source must be that which ensures good health and long lifespan. God didn't forget even this out.
And God said, behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruits. You shall have them for food (Genesis 1: 29).
In line with the above scripture, thousands of research today have proven low-fats plant-based whole foods including whole fruits and grains are the secret to a healthy living and diabetes and chronic disease reversal.
Note that the scripture does not prescribe the consumption of fats and oils of any kind, and this is supported by Exodus 22:13 and Exodus 29:22.
Take off the fat from the ram, the fat tail, the fat covering the entrails, the fatty lobe of the liver, the two kidneys and the fat on them, and the right thigh (Exodus 29:22).
These fats were usually taken off animals and burnt off at the alter.
Therefore, the ideal diet that ensures excellent health and long lifespan is that which is low in fats and oils, rich in plants-based foods and whole fruits, grains, and seeds.
The above constitutes the fuel source and the choice that aligns with God's purpose and ensures that we have excellent health and best performance on earth. Any deviation from the above is an invitation extended to diabetes and chronic diseases. The good thing is that, these food sources are readily available for our consumption.
But how do we consume these foods? Eating the above foods in large quantities with minimal processing is ideal for best health outcomes. Therefore;
Eat these foods raw where possible.
Eat whole grains without peeling off the peelings.
Eat foods like potatoes with their peelings.
Eat whole fruits and not just sucking the juices.
Avoid over processing and frying vegetables and long cooking.
